BOTOX® for Lines, Wrinkles & Severe Sweating

BOTOX® Cosmetic for Expression Lines & Wrinkles

After years of laughing, frowning and worrying, facial skin develops “expression lines.” Although these types of wrinkles have been difficult to treat in the past, Fortson Skincare Center can help to significantly reduce the appearance of these lines with the use of BOTOX® Cosmetic.

This therapy is the top-ranking aesthetic skin treatment in the United States, and used safely by millions of men and women with all skin types and colors. This simple and quick treatment temporarily smoothes crow’s feet, facial lines between the eyebrows and forehead lines by relaxing the muscles which cause wrinkles resulting in a dramatic improvement in appearance.

All BOTOX and filler injections at Fortson Skincare are performed by Dr. Jayne Fortson, one of the only clinics in Alaska where a physician provides this treatment. Dr. Fortson is a physician injector, with 28 years of injection experience, in addition to her in-depth expertise and advanced training in cosmetic dermatology. This level of expertise ensures treatments are most appropriate for you and the health of your skin, and enhances the results. At other clinics, injections are often performed by a technician with little training in the health of skin, administering skin injections or options for the most effective use of BOTOX. As costs are similar at most providers, this means you receive higher value for your treatment investment at the Fortson Center.

BOTOX is also an effective treatment for severe sweating.

A client writes:
"I have had Botox treatments consistently administered for the last five years. For the last two years I have been receiving treatments from Fortson Dermatology & Skincare Center and am extremely pleased. The results that I have achieved from Dr. Fortson have far surpassed the results that I have achieved elsewhere!"

Tips for Safe & Healthy Hands

Hand washing is critical to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. However, a side effect of frequent handwashing is dry skin that can itch, flake and crack, causing wounds that can allow the entry of bacteria and other germs. Moisturizing your hands after washing is very important step.

  • Wash your hands using lukewarm water for at least 20 seconds. Make sure to thoroughly soap between your fingers and around your nails.
  • Moisturize immediately after washing -- using lotion while your hands are slightly damp will help lock in the moisture.
  • When soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer. The CDC recommends a sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol to kill germs. Since these can be drying, it is especially important to use a moisturizer afterward. With sanitizer; however, be sure that your hands are completely dry before applying the moisturizer.
  • Using a moisturizer after washing or sanitizing your hands does not negate the effects.
